Insurance is an unnecessary evil
I'm from a country where the concept of insurance is unheard of
and completely impractical in the current state of affairs. When I
came to the United States, I was surprised at the amount of money
spent on insurance and was annoyed by the laws which require
minimum insurance.
And when I look at the insurance companies who own most of the
tall buildings in major towns, I wonder to myself - what have they
done to deserve this ? And the only answer I can think of is - to
play with human fear.
Have you paid for the Y2K insurance yet ?
